The Motherhood Collective is a year long blog circle group of some very talented photographers all over the world. Not only are we photographers, but we are mothers. It’s our desire to move from behind the camera to in front of it. We are challenged to ask ourselves, “What would it look like to intentionally be photographed with our children, and let go of perfection?”
I AM ENOUGH
We just welcomed our 3rd little girl on April 6th, and I have to confess that the past 6 weeks have been the most challenging weeks of my life. I’ve questioned myself and wondered if I was good enough to be their mom…..was I fun enough, was I smart enough, was I cool enough. And the other day, I felt the Lord tell me, “Stop telling yourself that you aren’t good at this, and instead say my truths.” And in that moment I began to say those truths. I am ENOUGH, and His grace is ENOUGH for me. The the fruit of my womb is blessed. I began to replace those fears with love, and accept that I’m not perfect. To let go of unrealistic expectations and know that in the craziness, I can take a deep breath….and just B R E A T H E, to appreciate each moment at a time. My girls love me for me….it’s that simple. They see me just for who I am and don’t expect me to be something other than their mom, who loves them!
I’d love for you to click through the blog circle and see what everyone else shared. Be sure to leave some love! Here is the amazing Rebecca Penny: http://rebeccapennyphotography.com/blog/houston-family-photographer-motherhood-collective
